Weddings today can quickly become overcrowded with suppliers, opinions and mixed direction.

Sorelle was created differently.

One woman. One vision. One seamless experience from the moment you book to the final song on the dancefloor!

Every part of the celebration flows naturally into the next.

  • A custom ceremony that actually sounds like you.

  • Cocktail hour confessions, that will keep guests entertained while capturing the essence of your day.

  • An MC who can command a room with warmth, confidence and humour.

  • A DJ who knows exactly when to raise the pulse, when to let moments breathe, and how to turn a dancefloor into absolute mayhem in the best possible way.

No cookie-cutter wedding formula. Just one point of contact, covering ceremony, sound and celebration.

celebrant

Your ceremony should be heartfelt, personal and yes, a little bit fun. I don’t do cookie-cutter scripts or recycled vows. I tell your story with warmth, laughter and style, so your guests are leaning in, not zoning out.

MC

I am your professional hype-woman with a clipboard. I’ll keep the night flowing, the energy high and those awkward silences at bay. Smooth transitions, the right amount of humour, and a polished presence — all while making sure you and your guests can relax and enjoy every moment.

DJ

This is where the party happens. I read the room, mix across genres and keep the floor buzzing from first dance to final song. Whether it’s sing-at-the-top-of-your-lungs classics or bangers that get Nan shimmying, I’ll bring the soundtrack to your best night ever.

Testimonials

Jo put on the most entertaining wedding for us!! We had the absolute best time of our lives and she was a big part of that.

Her script, feedback and guidance were all so helpful, and took a lot of the stress of us, which we are so appreciative of.

We got so many comments on how good our ‘mic lady’ was hahaha

The fact that she was our celebrant, MC and DJ combo was what won her over for us, as we didn’t want a million vendors haha

Couldn’t recommend enough!!

// The Stevensons

Jo played such an important part in our special day. She not only made our ceremony flow seamlessly but also made it fun and engaging. Jo helped ease our nerves and made us feel completely at ease. In the lead-up to the wedding, she was incredible, regularly checking in with messages and emails to make sure we knew exactly what to expect. I honestly couldn’t recommend Jo enough!

Jade & XXXX

Joanne was absolutely AMAZING!! She was so responsive and easy to communicate with, always making us feel at ease and confident that everything was in safe hands.

She adapted seamlessly when timeframes shifted on the day and she went above and beyond as our celebrant, DJ, and MC.

As our wedding celebrant, Joanne told our story so beautifully. The ceremony was everything we could have hoped for. It was fun, emotional and engaging. She captured us perfectly as a couple. It felt personal, heartfelt, and so full of joy, with the perfect balance of laughter and sentiment.

We couldn’t have asked for anyone better and feel so lucky to have had her as such a big part of our wedding.

Joanne was recommended to us by a friend and we could not have made a better choice. From the initial phone consult to the finalising of the papers she was incredible. She was a calming influence on the day and everything ran as smooth as possible. I would highly recommend her

Your Questions, Answered

  • Most weddings involve multiple suppliers trying to coordinate the flow of the day. Sorelle offers one seamless experience across your ceremony, reception and dancefloor, meaning the energy, atmosphere and communication stay consistent from beginning to end. One vendor across three services means less meetings for clients, less back and forth communications, less invoices in your inbox, fewer vendors to coordinate on the day. Just one smooth experience.

  • Absolutely. Celebrant, MC and DJ packages are specifically designed to work together seamlessly. Instead of awkward handovers between suppliers, your wedding feels connected, well planned and effortless the entire way through. Booking a Sorelle package will save you time, energy and money.

  • Sorelle works with couples who want their wedding to feel modern, relaxed, stylish and unforgettable. Sorelle couples care just as much about atmosphere and experience as they do aesthetics.

  • Short answer, Yes. Most Sorelle Weddings take place in the Hunter Valley, Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens and Central Coast. However we have also travelled to locations interstate and overseas. Reach out now to receive a travel quote for your destination wedding.

  • Highly personal, relaxed, emotional and entertaining without feeling cheesy or overly rigid. Every ceremony is custom-crafted to reflect you as a couple, your personalities, your story and the atmosphere you want to create.

  • Absolutely. You’ll receive guidance and support to help make the process feel easy and natural.

  • Of course. Whether that’s cultural traditions, family involvement, pets, shots of tequila, handfasting, sand ceremonies or something completely unique, your ceremony should feel like yours.

  • Most ceremonies run between 20–30 minutes depending on the style and inclusions you choose. That timeframe covers my first “hello and welcome” to sending the couple back down the aisle.

  • Much more than making announcements. A great MC controls the flow, timing and atmosphere of the reception while keeping guests informed, entertained and comfortable throughout the night. Sometimes I will also host reception games and engage with guests. I’m liaising with your entire team of vendors from kitchen staff, to the photo/ video team, to the fireworks technician throughout the night ensuring we’re all working together to deliver a successful night for our clients.

  • Absolutely not. Sorelle’s MC style is professional yet graceful, without making your guests feel like they’ve accidentally walked into a corporate awards night. Expect wholesome humour and down to earth sentiment.

  • Yes. Timeline guidance and coordination are a huge part of creating a seamless wedding runsheet and experience.

  • Everything from house music and R&B to throwbacks, singalongs, party classics and commercial favourites. Every setlist is tailored to your crowd and the kind of atmosphere you want to create.

  • Absolutely. Your music should reflect you, not a generic wedding playlist.

  • Usually yes, unless there are specific songs or genres on my “Do Not Play” list. I also won’t play a request if I feel it will kill the vibes on the dancefloor.

  • A good DJ reads the room properly. Sometimes guests need a slow build, sometimes they need one absolute banger dropped at exactly the right moment. Creating energy is part psychology, part timing and part experience. I also have some great tricks up my sleeve for getting everyone on the dancefloor right from that first song!

  • Popular dates, especially Fridays and Saturdays during peak wedding season, can book out well in advance. Booking 12-18months  in advance is a general rule of thumb, but for popular dates in peak months, some book 2 years in advance. The earlier you book the more options you will have for vendor and venue selection.

  • Peak wedding season for NSW is typically March to May and September to November. However this is mostly a guide, other months of the year can and do book out as well.

  • Not necessarily. Many couples book after a discovery call or video chat, especially destination couples.

  • A signed contract and paid deposit officially lock in your wedding date.

  • One that makes people abandon all dignity by the second chorus.

  • 1. Getting the guest list right, if they were on your maybe list, they should be a no.

2.Remember the crowd feeds off your energy the most, if you want your guests up dancing all night, then you should be too!

    3. No sit down meals, they take up a huge amount of time on your run sheet but they also hold your guests hostage at their table for half the night which stops people from mingling.

  • How quickly the day flies by. The best thing you can do is trust your suppliers, stay present and actually enjoy it. You MUST reach a point the day before the wedding where you say to yourself “I’ve done everything I can over the last 12 months to make this day perfect, now it’s time to trust I’m in good hands and ENJOY IT!!!”.

  • During our planning stage I will get a list of people that MUST be interviewed. This list usually contains immediate family, wedding party and close friends. I ask for you to let them know beforehand so they can make their way over to me during cocktail hour. Time allowing, I will also interview any other guests that are interested to get involved. Post wedding your footage will be edited and delivered as one long form video and 2-3 short form reels for social media. Your cocktail hour must be at least 1.5hrs long to allow time for family photos after the ceremony as well as the interviews.
